Massage Treatments

I have been trained in a variety of massage techniques, and I generally use a combination of them to accomplish our goals. If you’re curious about trying something new, let’s do it!

Active Myofascial Therapy

Tell me more!

For those dealing with limited range of motion, chronic injuries, recent injuries, or areas of constant tightness/stiffness. This style of bodywork is an active, rather than passive, style of work. We’ll work together to increase range of motion, and decrease stiffness and chronic pain. We’ll accomplish this with neuromuscular re-education, and strengthening of weak muscles, and stretching and lengthening tight muscles and fascia.

Deep Tissue

Tell me more!

For those who experience chronic pain, or just prefer a deeper massage. Trigger points are manipulated to release tension, and restore muscle integrity and balance to the body overall.

Swedish

Tell me more!

Need to relax and let go, or just zone out? Enjoy a light-to-medium pressure massage. Flowing connective strokes improve circulation, invigorate muscles, and relieve tension. The Swedish technique consists of long, fluid strokes that relax the nervous system, calm the mind, and soothe the body.

We’ll work together to figure out which techniques are right for you. This is YOUR massage! Let’s customize your sessions to be exactly what you need.

Thai Massage

Tell me more!

Thai massage is done while you are fully clothed. Be sure to wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes. Thai massage is a great technique to bring balance and flexibility to the body. Applying pressure with fingers, palms, forearms, and elbows, we will work out tight spots and move in and out of yoga-like stretches.

Techniques used are patting, shaking, pinching, rolling, firm broad pressure, and assisted stretching. This form of bodywork is done while you are fully clothed. Please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.
